A little slice of heaven...
Juliane James Place {julianejamesplace.com} is located two hours north of the Twin Cites and one hour south of Duluth. The location consists of 40 acres, a main house, a cabin, a large pond, and cocktail, ceremony and reception spaces. This is a forest fantasy location perfect for a couple hoping to get married on the water but want the privacy of 40 acres to themselves for the entire weekend. JJP {Juliane James Place} can host weddings for up to 150 guests, they also allow you to bring in your own cater and alcohol...they are dog friendly too! We are so excited to finally have a place that is a littel slice of heaven so close to the city. We would love to help you plan your forest fantasy!

Hiring a Planner...

Coordinator, Designer, Friend, Counselor---A wedding planner/designer, do you need one? Obviously we think so, but here are a few reasons why we think that our services are a necessity when planning one of the biggest days of your life. We want you to sit back, relax and most importantly be a happy bride and a guest at your own wedding. If you are thinking what will a good planner do for me?

Here are a few reasons..

*Saves you time~Plain and simple, planning a wedding takes a huge amount of time. A good wedding planner will save you time and a lot of energy by researching vendors, suggesting vendors and negotiating with them the best price and service. We take care of all the details, responsibilities you would prefer not to tackle; come up with a cohesive plan and design to make your wedding amazing. Planners have extensive knowledge in catering, decor, floral and design, working with a planner will help you come up with color schemes and decor elements to make your day as unique as you are.

*Counselor~Act as an impromptu therapist for when tensions are mounting. Stress can do a lot to people, sometimes turning people a little bit crazy...that is where we come in; acting as a buffer to family and friends so your relationships are as wonderful as they were at the start of your planning, to saying goodbye to your last guest at your reception.

*Creating Schedules~It is something we do in our sleep...seriously! Wedding planners are well-versed at making detailed itineraries for all involved (including vendors) and making sure that everything happens when it is suppose to happen.

*Offering Advice~Planners have planned countless weddings and are pretty seasoned with what works and what doesn't. Wedding etiquette is something that planners are very knowledgeable about. Whether it is invitation wording, ceremony questions, family situations etc, most of the time we will have your answer. Aside from personal matters, planners are able to recommend competent vendors based on personal experience.

We love what we do, are passionate about weddings and have a blast planning and creating. No wedding is the same and no situation is the same. We would love to be a part of your memorable day, hiring a planner is something you will never regret.

Transportation...How are you going to travel?

By Land, Sea or Air?

Here are some favorite options for you and groom as well as the entire wedding party to get to and from the ceremony and reception. But are also fun if you want to just take a drive, fly or cruise.

Everyone loves a vintage, classic car. Attach the perfect signage, drive away in style, heads will definately turn.

Make a grand entrance at your reception and land on the roof in a helicopter, you will for sure have people talking about this one.

A perfect and simple way to transport your wedding party as well as guests, a golf cart, really fun and relaxing.

A very popular mode of transportation is a trolley. It is a great way to get a group of people from point a to point b. It is fun, everyone is together and with a personal driver you can have a few toasts along the way.

And finally, traveling by sea. A classic boat to take you and yours to your destination...cleaver, unique and something you will remember.

Happy Planning!

Perfect Packaging
I love planning and designing a wedding when the bride and groom love details like I do. What better way to say thank you to your guests and have them head home with something personalized, something special from you, the new Mr. & Mrs. There are many sites out there to assist you with ideas. Lots of DIY (do-it-yourself) products...which are great because then you can really make them your own. So many great bags, boxes and tins...here are a few.

Beautiful Bouquets
Here are some lovely bouquets that I wanted to share with you. Every color of the rainbow is represented here. All different shapes, sizes, textures and ideas, some more traditional, some a little more edgy. All of these bouquets can be modified for your maids. Your florist will help you decide what your groom should wear, it should be something to compliment you. These put a smile on my face, I hope that they will do the same for you.
Happy Planning!

Flip-Flops for the Bride

A very popluar question that comes up when talking to our brides is where can they purchase a cute flip-flop to wear during the reception. Nothing is worse than sore feet when the night has just begun. At advantagebridal.com there are many great choices for a gorgeous flip-flop for you to dance your heart out. It is a great alternative to bare feet, cut-up feet and a worn and torn dress.
Now you can dance the night away in comfort.
Happy Planning!
